PRODUCTION COMPANY LOGO RESEARCH
What Went Well:
The general design isn't to eccentric, its very simple and it doesn't take up a lot of space on the screen. The use of the pictures in the text is very unique and makes the design stand out against other production companys. The pictures used come from old horror movies and stories which reminds us that hammer procductions was the first and most successful horror production comopany in the world uring the 50's.
Why It Works:
It works because it doesn't over complicate the opening title sequence, it doesn't require a lot of attention so the main focus would still be on the film from the audience.
Why We Like It: We like it for the reasons that it is unique and is very simple, we've taken inspiration from the black background and simplicty.

This simple introduction is set in a house that looks like it is haunted by a poltergeist. This is accentuated with the use of a flying chair, self-closing door and little girl. Girls with bedraggled hair and nighties are a classic icon of horror as is the sound of the music box. They have colour corrected the film footage to make it look like it is murky and dark. The name BLUMHOUSE is very similar to Hammer House which shows they have clearly paid homage to the more famous, well-known company. They have also paid homage to The Ring by clearly including the famous oval mirror from the film.
From this we have taken the idea of the blue shading.
Twisted Pictures is effective and creates a sense of danger with vulnerability. The colours are very simple with the use of greyish blue, red with grey on wires. The black background makes it the logo almost seem like a trap. The sounds of the barbed wire looking together makes you feel trapped with no way out. The simple colours are very famous for horror films to use as it creates death theme and sets impression for the rest of the film. They are famous for producing films such as Saw, Dead Silent and Texas Chain Saw. Twisted Pictures is effective and creates a sense of danger with vulnerability. Similar to the other production company logos, ours isn't very scary but gives you an idea to what our company is about. The headless skull is showing that you're in for shocks and that it is going to be exciting. The logo shows that this won't be a clean, simple film but will feature lots of disgusting parts and scenes.
