Title Choices and Connotations
Our OTS is called "Killer Demands". We have called it this because the story is about
someone who gets kidnapped and beaten. Usually when someone gets kidnapped
they will demand something.
This can be scary and appealing to people because this is something that can happen,
so basing the OTS on something more realistic can have a higher interest.
Titles in films
American Horror Stories
The Titles in Films are some of the first things that the audience will see. It gives you the basic idea of what to expect from the film and it sets the atmosphere and mood.
One example of this is American Horror Story - Hotel. The Title is bold and stands out from the background. The red background suggests danger and blood which contrasts the style and colouring of the font. The font is a grey/silver which has been cut up. The colour suggests that it is going to be posh and interesting, but the way it has been styled suggests that it is going to be dangerous. All of this gets the audience interested in what will happen.

Fright Night
The second example is fright night. It has a very similar colour scheme to the first example. The red sky is showing the audience what to expect in the film. The layout of the title shows the f and the t as fangs. Fangs are the well known trait of a vampire, which is what this film is based on. They could also represent stakes which are used to kill the vampires. Overall the title does well to show the audience exactly what to expect from the film.
