The main props that we decided to use in our OTS was
- A sack - The sack was used to cover the victims head. We used because we felt it was an effective way to show the danger the victim is in.
- A knife - The knife was used to create a fear factor in the audiences mind.
- A face mask - The face mask is worn to induce fear amongst the audience and to imply that it could be anyone behind that mask but they can still cause fear
- mallet- this prop was used in the torture scene, when hitting the actor that was being depicted in the torture. we felt that the having the victim hit with the mallet increased the impact of the scene.
- needle nose pliers- used for the pulling of the victims tooth, we used this prop as a reference to reservoir dogs, ear cutting scene.
A car - The car is used for the effect of a kidnapping. We feel that this is a good concept because it is a simple scene to create and easily believable. We have decided to use the car because it is a good representation of what may actually happen during a kidnapping. Also, we have researched previous film titles that have featured a scene similar
Fake Blood - We used fake blood in our film to create the effect that the victim was bleeding from the torture he was receiving. Fake blood is one of the most effective props that we used because it makes the scenario seem much more realistic. |
